ExWHUemployee backs Lingard injury boost
da betsson: Lingard, who raised fears of a possible injury problem after he came off against Newcastle United, was at the centre of concerns from supporters despite manager David Moyes saying it was just cramp (C&H).
This was because the Scotsman is known to sometimes throw up smokescreens when it comes to player fitness (C&H), with insiders Claret & Hugh first revealing he should be available for the crunch clash this weekend.
Now, backing up those reports, ExWHUemployee has reassured supporters further with this own update – dropping the six word message ‘Should be fit for the weekend’ on social media.
Transfer Tavern take
Having scored nine goals and assisted three others already this season for West Ham (WhoScored), since signing on loan in January, more news that he could be fit for Chelsea comes as a major boost.
Given his influence, Moyes will need Lingard back in the starting eleven to bolster hopes of a great result against Thomas Tuchel’s side as Chelsea and the Irons battle it out for fourth spot.
Both sides are currently locked on 55 points heading into Saturday’s encounter, and West Ham will need every star player they can muster to be fit and firing, especially with no recognised striker in the squad due to Michail Antonio’s injury.
