Theo Walcott has been a long-standing servant to Arsenal having played for the club for almost 12 years. However, the England international is unlikely to go down in the Gunners’ history books as a legend. There was so much promise around the attack-minded player when he moved to the North London outfit from Southampton in 2006, and even though he has had impressive seasons, he has struggled with consistency.Over the years there has been debate over the player’s best position, with Walcott previously claiming that he would prefer to be in a more central forward role. However, for the majority of the player’s career, he has been used by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in the wide areas. This season, there have been rumblings that the 28-year-old’s time at the Emirates is coming to an end due to the fact that he is struggling for game time.So far in the campaign, Walcott has made 14 appearances in all competitions and none of those include a Premier League start.Former Everton left-back Michael Ball took to Twitter over the weekend to make a very frank assessment of Walcott after watching him play in Arsenal’s FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest.
