da doce: For Neil Lennon, Celtic simply have to win on Sunday afternoon.
da marjack bet: They are in dire straits at the moment, something we’ve not been able to say about the Hoops many times over the last decade.
Their 2-2 draw with Hibernian in the SPFL last weekend meant they went 11 points behind Rangers, before they were knocked out of the Europa League just a matter of days later.
For the second game in a row against Sparta Prague, Celtic tragically conceded four goals as their list of defensive woes grew larger and larger.
Therefore, a match against Ross County in the League Cup this weekend should be a good distraction.
They have won just three of their 15 league outings this term so it should be a more straightforward affair for the Bhoys. But how could they line-up? Here’s what we’re predicting.
For the clash with Ross County, we’re tipping Lennon to make as many as five changes to his XI.
We’ll start with the change in goal. Scott Bain was poor on Thursday night, being dubbed hopeless by Chris Sutton as he made two errors that led to a goal. As such, we think that Lennon may turn towards Greek stopper Vasilis Barkas.
Hatem Elhamed keeps his place at right-back but there are two other changes with Diego Laxalt and Christopher Jullien having their spots taken by Shane Duffy and Greg Taylor.
The former has been on the bench in recent weeks but this feels like a good time to reintroduce him to the side.
The biggest change we hope Lennon makes is in midfield. Scott Brown was at fault for one goal against Sparta Prague and had the fewest touches of any Celtic player. The Scot looks past his best and we think Tom Rogic will take his place with Oliver Ntcham dropping slightly further back.
Finally, we’re tipping Patryk Klimala to start ahead of both Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti.
The Frenchman featured in midweek while the latter has now failed to score in his last eight outings so it’s time for Celtic to try something new.
Meanwhile, check out how Celtic can evoke memories of 2001…
