da pinup bet: Everton chairman Bill Kenwright remains confident that star midfielders Steven Pienaar and Mikel Arteta will still be at the club when the new Premier League season gets underway.
da bwin: The Toffees are in talks to try and agree new contracts with both South Africa's Pienaar and Spaniard Arteta, amid continuing rumours of interest from a number of other clubs.
Kenwright is convinced that those negotiations will reach successful conclusions, telling a shareholders' forum:"I can't stand here and say this is going to happen, but I remain hopeful.
"It is huge, the pull of the blue. I hope they say to themselves 'is there anywhere better than this?'.
"I am more than hopeful we will start the season with players we want to start the season with."
Meanwhile, Morocco international Marouane Fellaini is in contention for the opening game of the new campaign, following a long lay-off due to ankle ligament damage.
Assistant manager Steve Round told the Daily Post:"Marouane has looked good in training over the last 12 days.
"It's a massive boost for us. He is such a terrific player and to have him back in the squad is a real confidence boost for us."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
