Mourinho told to "set ego down"Fenerbahce boss accused of "losing humility"Must change to recapture old gloriesFollow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱WHAT HAPPENED?
Former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly believes Mourinho must "set his ego down" if he is to rediscover his old success, after finishing 11 points short of Galatasaray at the top of the Turkish Super Lig last season and causing a number of controversies.

Desailly told Oddspedia: "He [Mourinho] could set his ego down and restart the system that he wants to play. When he started coaching he had so much humility, players that played under him told me how fantastic a coach he was. He has dropped the aspect of humility, he missed out on the title at Fenerbahce and he will need that to get back to the level he was at before. If he has more humility then the good side of Mourinho will return. We all love him as a manager but he used to protect his players and he has lost a bit of that."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mourinho won domestic titles with Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid, as well as lifting the Champions League twice between 2004-13. He has achieved less success since, however, and Desailly now claims he is losing his reputation as a coach players want to play for.
AFPWHAT NEXT FOR MOURINHO?
Mourinho has been linked with various vacancies across Europe, including the Portuguese national team position. He has ruled out that move for now, but claims "internal" talks will be held to establish his future in Turkey.
