da leao: After bagging all the headlines on transfer deadline day, Radamel Falcao’s Manchester United move has been all sunshine and lollipops so far. The Colombian has settled well, scored his first goal and is already talking about making the loan switch from Monaco a permanent one in a £43m deal, which the Red Devils are rumoured to be keen on doing themselves.
da stake casino: But, there should be some caution. Falcao has missed the vast majority of 2014 with a serious Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury (a bad knee in layman’s terms) and despite his recovery looking to be on course, such issues with the joint in question have a horrid habit or recurring.
So what could United do if the Colombian’s knee does indeed pack in once again? Luckily for Louis van Gaal we’ve been racking our brains, and here are FIVE transfer options to consider…

Edinson Cavani
Why not turn to the other Ligue 1 striker every club was after over the summer? Cavani is once again unsettled at PSG, with manager Laurent Blanc’s desire to use him from a wide attacking role having frustrated the Uruguayan to the point that he’s considering a move away from the French capital in January.
Through his entire career, even last season, the South American has managed to maintain an above average goal return, indicating that he could fill the void left by Falcao should there be any problems. PSG are even thought to be ready to accept offers below the £51m they paid Napoli, meaning that Cavani could be picked up for a fee lower than it would take for United to land their current loanee.
Marco Reus
Liverpool are understood to be ready to offer Reus a £200,000-per-week contract, but there is no reason to suggest United could not blow their bitter foes out of the water. The German ace’s much talked about £20m release clause is set to kick in next summer, but reports claim that January offers of around £25m-£30m could be accepted by Dortmund, who are keen to get as much as they can for their man should they be unable to tie him down to a new contract.

Pace, skill and an eye for goal, Reus is the full package in terms of the modern day attacker, with his versatile nature meaning he can operate anywhere across the front line, or in a withdrawn role behind a main striker. His addition at the expense of Falcao may even add more balance to LVG’s side.
Cristiano Ronaldo

Even with Ronaldo’s agent having suggested that a move back to United will not happen, this rumour is one that is unlikely to go away. The 29-year-old is said to be growing disillusioned with life at Real Madrid, with the sales of players such as Angel di Maria having left him frustrated.
We don’t really need to look at the stats to see what CR7 offers, but it’s worth having a browse to see the mind-boggling numbers of goals and assists he’s notched since leaving the Theatre of Dreams. Records are thought to be the driving force behind the fearsome Portuguese winger’s form, but could an emotional return to save United be appealing to him? Maybe.
Ross Barkley
After nabbing Wayne Rooney from Everton as a talented youngster, United could return to Goodison Park to take Barkley. The young Englishman is seen as, alongside Raheem Sterling, the Three Lions’ most exciting emerging talent, with his sheer dynamism and fearless playing style in some ways reminiscent of ‘Wazza’ when he broke through in the blue shirt.
Despite being just 20-years-old, Barkley really did impress last season, notching up plenty of minutes while scoring some fantastic goals as the Toffees narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification. Everton are known to be some way from the big clubs in terms of financial clout, so a big offer next summer may be tough to turn down if the player himself is swayed towards bigger and, arguably, better things.
Juan Cuadrado
Another candidate to add more balance to the United team could be Cuadrado. The rapid Colombian is comfortable on the right flank as either a winger or a wing-back and has thrived in Italy with Fiorentina since being liberated from a full-back position.

Cuadrado was mightily impressive last term in Serie A, providing 11 goals for La Viola as they finished in the upper echelons of the division, which booked him a slot in his nation’s World Cup squad. £30m offers may be tempting for chiefs in Florence, and United have the cash…
