da 888casino: Alberto Moreno is widely expected to leave Liverpool at the end of this season, and West Ham United should consider a move for the Spaniard.
What’s the word, then?
Moreno will see his current deal with Liverpool expire at the end of the 2018-19 campaign, and the full-back looks certain to move on.
Indeed, Moreno has lost his left-back spot to Andrew Robertson, and has only made one Premier League appearance for the Reds this season.
Moreno is reportedly not short of interest, with the likes of Sevilla, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Fenerbahce all said to be monitoring developments.
Moreno has had his problems in England, but would be some signing on a free transfer, and West Ham should certainly be in the hunt for the 26-year-old.
A four-time Spain international, the defender might well be keen to prove himself to those who have doubted him, and a move to London could appeal.
Why should West Ham move for Moreno?
It is not often that a player of Moreno’s age and indeed experience become available on a free transfer.
West Ham would have to fight off interest from a number of clubs to sign the Spaniard, but it is certainly a deal worth pursuing.
Neither Arthur Masuaku or Aaron Cresswell have really convinced at left-back for West Ham, and Moreno would be an upgrade on both of those players.
The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below…
The 5ft 7in defender has also played over 40 times in Europe since arriving at Liverpool, and showed at Sevilla that he has plenty to offer in the right setting.
Foreign clubs will be able to offer Moreno a pre-contract in January, but the Hammers must be in the race for the former La Liga ace.
